Newroz Market International Foods

If you are a fan of Middle Eastern foods or you are simply in the market for some exotic eats, you should check out the nearby Newroz Market International Foods and the adjacent Azadi Market. Both markets feature a wide array of food-related products and services. The Newroz Market specializes in Mediterranean, Turkish and Kurdish fare, while the aforementioned Azadi Market carries a hefty selection of meats, seafood and produce from all corners of the globe.

In addition to the standard grocery shopping and home delivery service, you will find several restaurants and food-related businesses here. A short drive from the center of town, this little corner of paradise is a great place to start your Middle Eastern culinary journey. Middle Eastern Market

Whether you are looking for the best baklava in Nashville or a new spin on a traditional Greek salad, the friendly staff at Newroz Market will help you get the best of the best. In fact, the staff is so affable that you’ll find yourself returning over and over again. They even offer an after-hours service that is available on weekends. While the shop may not be as flashy as its more famous counterparts, the store is a solid choice for a quick snack or a family meal. Middle Eastern Market

Azadi Market – Middle Eastern Market

Sahadi’s market has been serving Middle Eastern food and groceries in Brooklyn for over a century. Despite the political turmoil in the region, the family has stayed true to the tradition of providing the community with fresh, quality ingredients. From nuts and dried fruits to hummus and baklava, Sahadi’s products have long been sought by New Yorkers. Middle Eastern Market

While Sahadi’s is a staple for the local community, it isn’t the only Middle Eastern market in Brooklyn. In fact, there are several markets to choose from. One of the lesser-known options is the Newroz Market International Foods, located next to Azadi on Atlantic Avenue. Middle Eastern Market

Another food market in the neighborhood is the Mazfresco Market, which offers robust meat and produce. They also have a bakery section, which is full of fresh bread. Fresh bread sells out quickly, though, so make sure to visit early in the morning. Middle Eastern Market

Aside from Middle Eastern foods, Azadi Market offers a huge assortment of other specialties, such as a shawarma counter, wood-fired tandoori oven flatbreads, and aisles of hard-to-find ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack or a full-course meal, you’ll find it at this quaint strip mall. If you’re not interested in the typical Middle Eastern fare, there’s a Latin American, seafood, and produce market too.

There’s no shortage of Middle Eastern restaurants in Nashville. In addition to Grassmere Grill and Kabob, which is in the Little Kurdistan neighborhood, there are several other eateries to choose from. You can even find a few different mosques in the area, including the Salahadeen Center Mosque, which is just across the parking lot from Grassmere. But if you’re craving some of the best Middle Eastern food in the city, stop by Sahadi’s, and you’ll be glad you did.

Toledo’s market

It’s been more than a decade since Middle East Market first popped onto the Toledo scene. In that time, the venerable establishment has grown from its humble antechamber to one of the city’s most popular shopping destinations. The shop has been expanding its offerings to include an extensive selection of halal meats, a wide variety of exotic fruits and vegetables, and a plethora of fresh seafood options. Whether you’re looking for a quick fix for a hungry horde or a full meal plan to accommodate your gastronomic endeavors, you’re sure to find it all at Middle East Market.

While the shop’s food choices aren’t exactly limited to Middle Eastern fare, it’s also the home of one of the best Persian delis in town. As luck would have it, the deli is right next door to a top-notch Iranian restaurant. From hummous and falafel to baba ghannouj and tahini, the deli is a one-stop destination for all things Middle Eastern.

Halaweh

The halaweh is a nutty delight that’s been around for centuries. Its origins are shrouded in mist, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a Muslim or Jew that hasn’t tried it. This concoction has been made with a variety of ingredients, from rice to milk to peanuts. In the best of circumstances, it’s a delicious morsel. Having said that, a halaweh isn’t the healthiest thing to consume. And, while it may be more nutritious than its chummy brethren, a halaweh doesn’t exactly spruce up the good old fashioned ghetto fare. But, the right combination of ingredients will make for a halaweh with a capital H. If you’re lucky enough to live in a city that has a number of halaweh-centric establishments, you’ll undoubtedly have your pick of the crop.

Tahini Sauce

If you love falafel, hummus, and shawarma, you will love making your own tahini sauce. It is easy to make, and perfect for dipping and topping a variety of foods.

The ingredients for tahini sauce include tahini paste, garlic, and lemon juice. You can make the sauce with just these three ingredients, or you can add more to customize the flavor.

First, you want to make sure that you have high-quality raw tahini. Several types are available at your local grocery store. One that is recommended is Ziyad brand.

After you have made the tahini paste, you need to add the garlic. Crushed garlic will give the tahini a mellow taste that will eliminate any lingering flavors.

Once the tahini paste has reached room temperature, you can start adding the other ingredients. For example, you can add olive oil, green herbs, and spices. However, you don’t want to add too much because it will cause the sauce to become too watery. Rather, add a small amount at a time.

Once you have a smooth sauce, you can freeze it. This will keep it fresh for up to two weeks. Alternatively, you can refrigerate it for a few months.

This sauce is ideal for kabobs, roasted vegetables, and burgers. You can also use it on salads. Just make sure to add a little salt, as salt brings out the natural flavor of the tahini.

A traditional preparation of tahini sauce requires you to whisk the ingredients together. However, if you have a food processor, it will be easier to mix the tahini paste.

You can make tahini sauce in as little as five minutes. You can also store the sauce in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
